Terms of Service

Read this first: clinical use
Paramedic Vaultis a reference tool, not a source of medical authority and not a substitute for your clinical judgment, your agency's policies, your medical director, or base hospital contact. It does not practice medicine and it does not direct patient care. The controlling document is always the protocol your county EMS agency publishes. Verify against that official source before you act on anything you read here.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using Paramedic Vault, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app. These terms are between you and [[LEGAL-ENTITY-PENDING]], the operator of Paramedic Vault.
2. Service Description
Paramedic Vault indexes EMS treatment protocols, policies, procedures and reference documents published by county EMS agencies, and makes them searchable offline alongside an AI assistant that answers from those documents and cites them. Coverage varies by county and changes over time.
3. Not Affiliated
Paramedic Vault is an independent reference tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official publication of any county government or EMS agency. Always verify against the official source document before acting on clinical information.
4. Subscriptions, Free Trial and Cancellation
- A new subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. One subscription covers every county available in the app.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid plan at the price shown at signup and renews automatically each period until cancelled.
- Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Billing, renewal and refunds are governed by that store's terms, and cancellation is done through your store account's subscription settings, not through us.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Prices may change. We will give notice before a change takes effect for your subscription.
5. Accounts and Acceptable Use
You are responsible for the security of your account and your device. You agree not to:
- Redistribute, resell or republish content obtained through the app
- Share, transfer or resell your subscription or credentials
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape or compromise the service
- Enter patient identifiers or other protected health information anywhere in the app
6. Content and Intellectual Property
Source protocol documents remain the property of the agencies that publish them. The app itself — its software, design, organisation of the material, and generated content — belongs to [[LEGAL-ENTITY-PENDING]] or its licensors. Nothing here grants you a licence to redistribute either.
7. Accuracy of Content
Protocols are revised by the issuing agency on its own schedule, and there will be periods when the app does not yet reflect the current revision. We make no warranty that any document, summary, calculation or AI answer is complete, current or correct. The AI assistant can be wrong, can miss context and can misread a document; treat every answer as a pointer to the cited source, never as the source.
8. Limitation of Liability
Paramedic Vaultis provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, [[LEGAL-ENTITY-PENDING]] is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any clinical decision, patient outcome, employment consequence, or data loss arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms. You may stop using the app at any time; see section 4 for how cancellation and billing interact.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email, and continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law and Venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
